Orders from the EU and EEA

All datasets that do not contain personal information are available for purchase in the EU and EEA.

We do not sell datasets containing personal data for use in the EU or EEA. This includes individuals' names, contact details linked to a person and other information that identifies someone. Sensitive personal data and criminal-record data are also excluded.

Relevant EU regulations

The General Data Protection Regulation, Regulation (EU) 2016/679, Article 4(1), defines personal data as any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person. Recital 26 explains that its data-protection principles do not apply to anonymous information when a person is no longer identifiable. Removing names alone is not enough if people can still be identified.

Regulation (EU) 2018/1807 on the free flow of non-personal data, Article 1, states its purpose as ensuring the free flow of data other than personal data within the Union. It provides the EU framework for processing electronic non-personal data.

Please tell us if the data will be used in the EU or EEA, even if your business is based elsewhere.

Using the data

We agree the permitted uses before you order, including model training, commercial use and redistribution. Copyright, database rights and any source licence continue to apply.
