Saguinus oedipus

One of the smallest monkeys, this is a small New World monkey weighing less than 0.5 kg. This species communicates through a complex language of vocalizations and researchers have studied language acquisition in cottop-top tamarin colonies. Also known as the cotton-top tamarin.
