Edge caching
Term · Computing and IT · MLC-T-CMP-000368
The practice of storing copies of web content, such as images, videos, and web pages, at network locations closer to the end-users, known as edge servers. This reduces latency and improves content delivery speed by minimizing the distance data must travel from the origin server. Content delivery networks (CDNs) extensively use edge caching.
