cross domain filter

A process or set of processes that applies cross domain dataflow filtering policy to content. Filters normally implement the concept of least privilege and generally only work on a specific data type (e.g., a PDF filter would process PDF files but not images). Filters can operate on a Pass/Fail model or Pass with Change model.
