The act of performing operations (e.g., statistical analysis) on a collection of data to derive information from that data. This process may result in increased risk. The summarized or analyzed collection of data may, for example, be classified, classified at a higher level, or benefit an adversary. The data may originate from a single source or a variety of multiple sources.
