Data hiding risk
Term · Cybersecurity · MLC-T-CYB-001226
The risk of a file type's or protocol's potential to conceal information within its syntactic structure or features. Generally, data hiding risks are more prevalent in file types than in protocols due to the increased complexity of file types and the difficulty in reliably parsing those file types (e.g., inability to precisely decode all the structures in the file).
