Risk management framework (RMF) data elements

A basic unit of information that has a unique meaning and subcategories (data items) of distinct value. Standardization of data elements documented within the RMF core documents facilitates reciprocity. These data elements may be mapped to other security documentation to avoid duplication of efforts (e.g., test and evaluation, program protection profiles, engineering documents).
