Department of Defense deception activity

A policy-guided operation conducted by a combatant command, Service, agency, or other components which employ military deception to influence the actions of adversary military, paramilitary, violent extremist organizations, or proxy decision makers, or to mislead a foreign intelligence entity, to aid in the accomplishment of the friendly mission and achieve a United States military advantage.
