Decay Products

1. Degraded radioactive materials, often referred to as "daughters" or "progeny"; radon decay products of most concern from a public health standpoint are polonium-214 and polonium-218.
2. A nuclide (isotope) formed as a result of radioactive decay of a parent radionuclide. Also known as daughter product.
