Laboratory study
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-015246
Targeted research conducted to better understand the ultimate fate andtransport of chemical contaminants of concern. The contaminants of concern may be components of hydraulic fracturing fluids, naturally occurring substances released from the subsurface duringhydraulic fracturing, or treated flowback and produced water that has been released.
1. Targeted research conducted to better understand the ultimate fate and transport of chemical contaminants of concern. The contaminants of concern may be components of hydraulic fracturing fluids, naturally occurring substances released from the subsurface during hydraulic fracturing, or treated flowback and produced water that has been released.
2. Research carried out in a laboratory (e.g., testing chemical substances, growing tissues in cultures, or performing microbiological, biochemical, hematological, microscopical, immunological, parasitological tests).
