National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (Various)

1. National program for issuing, modifying, revoking and reissuing, terminating, monitoring and enforcing permits, and imposing and enforcing pretreatment requirements, under sections 307, 402, 318, and 405 of CWA. The term includes an “approved program.”
2. National program for issuing, modifying, revoking, and reissuing, terminating, monitoring, and enforcing discharge permits from point sources to waters of the United States, and imposing and enforcing pretreatment requirements, under CWA sections 307, 402, 318, and 405.
3. National system for the issuance of permits under section 402 of the Act and includes any State or interstate program which has been approved by the Administrator, in whole or in part, pursuant to section 402 of the Act.
