Non-tidal wetland

  1. A wetland that is not subject to the ebb and flow of tidal waters. Non-tidal wetlands contiguous to tidal waters are located landward of the high tide line (i.e., spring high tide line).

  2. Wetlands that are not exposed to the periodic change in water level that occurs due to astronomical tides.
