Standard Solutions

Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-026573

When a compound purity is assayed to be 96% or greater, the weight can be used without correction to calculate the concentration of the stock standard. Solution concentrations listed in this section were used to develop this method and are included as an example. Standards for sample fortification generally should be prepared in the smallest volume that can be accurately measured to minimize the addition of organic solvent to aqueous samples. Laboratories should use standard QC procedures to determine when Standard Solutions described in this section need to be replaced. {OW/TSC}
