Acquired Fund Fees and Expenses (AFFE)

If a fund invests in the shares of another fund, it must pay the fees and expenses of the underlying fund like any other investor. If your fund invests in the shares of another fund, these underlying fees and expenses are required to be listed in your fund’s prospectus fee table. They are called Acquired Fund Fees and Expenses, sometimes abbreviated as AFFE.
