A large, flexible container, such as a bulk bag or sling, used for loading and stowing cargo. These are employed for granular materials like grain, cement, or sand, as well as for consolidating smaller packages into a single unit for lifting. A standard Flexible Intermediate Bulk Container (FIBC) is designed to hold between 500 and 2,000 kilograms of material.
