CAW

The former National Automobile, Aerospace, Transportation and General Workers Union of Canada, a major trade union that represented workers in the Canadian auto industry and other sectors. Founded in 1985 after splitting from the American-based United Auto Workers, it was one of Canada's largest private sector unions. In 2013, the CAW merged with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada to form a new union called Unifor.
