A standard garment size one step above large and one below extra extra large, abbreviated XL. Brands set their own measurement charts by garment type and market, so dimensions differ between labels. In US men's tops an XL typically fits a chest of about 46 to 48 inches, compared with 42 to 44 inches for a large.
