Zettahertz

Term · Industrial and trades · MLC-T-IND-006732

A measure of frequency equal to one sextillion (10 to the power of 21) hertz, as defined by the International System of Units (SI). This unit quantifies the number of cycles occurring per second in an oscillating wave. Frequencies in the zettahertz range are associated with high-energy electromagnetic radiation, such as gamma rays and some forms of X-rays, and are studied in fields like high-energy physics and astrophysics.
