Building information modeling (BIM)

A digital representation of physical and functional characteristics of a facility. This process creates and manages information on a construction project across its lifecycle, from design to operation. BIM models are used in risk management to identify potential hazards, simulate emergency scenarios, and plan for disaster recovery.
