Cyber and privacy insurance

A form of specialized insurance intended to cover losses resulting from a data breach or other cyber security incident. Policies cover both first-party costs, such as forensic investigation and customer notification, and third-party liability for damages claimed by affected individuals. Coverage may also extend to regulatory fines, public relations expenses, and business interruption losses stemming from the event.
