Ex-medical coverage

A workers' compensation policy option in which the insurer covers the indemnity benefits while the employer agrees by endorsement to pay all medical costs of injured employees and hold the carrier harmless. It was typically written for hospitals and other employers with their own medical facilities. NCCI withdrew the option effective 1 January 2012, after only one such policy remained among the states it serves.
