  1. A way of describing how family members are related to each other when there are two other family members in the blood line between them. Examples of a TDR are a first cousin, great-grandparent, great-aunt, great-uncle, great-niece, great-nephew, great-grandchild, half-aunt, or half-uncle. Also called third-degree relative.

  2. A first cousin, great-grandparent, great-aunt, great-uncle, great-niece, great-nephew, great-grandchild, half-aunt, or half-uncle of an individual. Also called third-degree relative.
