Case-insensitive

Describing a method of interpreting text where uppercase and lowercase letters are treated as identical for comparison purposes. In a case-insensitive system, the strings "TEXT", "text", and "Text" are all considered equivalent. This behavior is standard for internet domain names and email addresses as defined by RFC specifications, and is the default for file systems in Microsoft Windows.
