Any item of text or media that has been formatted into a binary source and includes the right to use it. These are identifiable, searchable, and discoverable files such as images, documents, audio, video, animations, and other multimedia content. Digital asset management (DAM) systems are used to store, organize, find, retrieve, and share these files from a central location.
