cryptographic erase

1. A purge sanitization technique in which key sanitization is applied to one or more keys providing confidentiality protections for the encrypted target data, making recovery of the decrypted target data infeasible.

2. A method of sanitization in which the media encryption key (MEK) for the encrypted Target Data is sanitized, making recovery of the decrypted Target Data infeasible.

3. See Cryptographic Erase.

4. A method of Sanitization in which the Media Encryption Key(MEK) for the encryptedTarget Data (or the KeyEncryption Key-KEK) is sanitized, making recovery of the decrypted Target Data infeasible.
