Coefficent of variation for number of establishments (%)
Term · Economic statistics · MLC-T-ECS-000302
The coefficient of variation (CV) is a measure of an estimate's variability that expresses the standard error as a percentage of the estimate to which it refers. For example, an estimate of $200 that has an estimated standard error of $10 has an estimated CV of 10/200 = 0.05 or 5 percent when expressed as a percentage. The CV may also be referred to as a relative standard error (RSE). For additional information on measures of variability, see the technical documentation.
