Construction spending

Provides monthly estimates of the total dollar value of construction work done in the United States (including 50 states and the District of Columbia). Data estimates include the cost of labor and materials, architectural and engineering work, overhead, interest and taxes paid during construction, and contractor's profits.
Construction Spending is one of the Principal Economic Indicators defined by the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The U.S. Census Bureau releases 13 Principal Economic Indicators on a monthly or quarterly basis.
