Employment status

Employment status identifies those who 1) worked at any time during a specific week; 2) were on temporary layoff and available for work; 3) did not work during the reference week but had jobs or businesses from which they were temporarily absent (excluding layoff); 4) did not work during the reference week but were looking for work during the last four weeks and were available to work during the reference week; and 5) were not in the labor force.
