License exception

An authorization that allows a U.S. Principal Party in Interest (USPPI) or other appropriate party to export or reexport under stated conditions, items subject to the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) that would otherwise require a license under the EAR. The BIS License Exceptions are currently contained in Part 740 of the EAR (15 CFR 740).
