Activated Carbon Injection System

Add-on air pollution control system in which activated carbon or brominated activated carbon is injected into the flue gas steam upstream of a particulate matter control device to adsorb mercury in the exhaust stream. The absorbed mercury remains absorbed to the activated carbon and is collected in a primary or secondary particulate matter control device.
