Aerobic Fixed Film Biological Treatment

Biological treatment process that uses a medium such as rock, plastic, wood, or other natural or synthetic solid material that will support biomass growth on its surface and within its porous structure. Microorganisms attach to inert media and break down organic materials in the presence of oxygen. This process is aerated and includes a clarifier.
