Categorical Regression

Regression analysis in which the dependent variable is defined as a category rather than as a count or continuous variable. In some analyses, the categories are ordered, for example, 1 = enzyme induction, 2 = histological damage, . . . 10 = death of sensitive organisms, . . . 20 = extinction of all metazoan species.
