1. A periodic publication of the regulations established by U.S. law.
2. A codification of the final rules published daily in the Federal Register. Title 40 of the CFR contains the environmental regulations.

The parts most relevant to the UIC program are listed here: Part 124, Procedures for Decisionmaking - Covers public notices, public hearings, etc.; Part 144, Underground Injection Control Program: Subparts A, B, C, D, E, F, and G; Part 145, State UIC Program Requirements - This section covers requirements for states to obtain primacy for the UIC program.; Part 146, Underground Injection Control Program: Criteria and Standards: Subparts A, B, C, D, E, F, and G; Part 147, State Underground Injection Control Programs: Subparts O, P, X, Y, KK, and YY; Part 148, Hazardous Waste Injection Restrictions: Subparts A, B, and C; Part 260, Hazardous Waste Management System: General: Subparts A, B, and C; Part 261, Identification and Listing of Hazardous Waste: Subparts A, B, C, and D; Part 264, Standards for Owners and Operators of Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities; Part 265, Interim Status Standards for Owners and Operators of Hazardous Waste Treatment, Storage and Disposal Facilities; Part 268, Land Disposal Restrictions: Subparts A, B, C, D, and E.
