1. As applied to containers, the rated capacity of the container.
2. Volume of liquid that is capable of being stored in a vessel, determined by multiplying the vessel's internal cross-sectional area by the internal height of the shell. [40 CFR 63.1061 (CFR 2013)][40 CFR 63.1082 (CFR 2013)]
3. Nominal figure or rating given by the manufacturer of the storage vessel, condenser, or other process component.
