Control Efficiency
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-006515
1. The amount of pollutant emission reduction (in percentage terms) that a control measure applied to a source is capable of when operating. This does not account for rule penetration and rule effectiveness. A positive control efficiency reflects a reduction in pollutant emissions; a negative efficiency reflects an increase in emissions.
2. Mass of a pollutant in the sewage sludge fed to an incinerator minus the mass of that pollutant in the exit gas from the incinerator stack divided by the mass of the pollutant in the sewage sludge fed to the incinerator.
