Crushed Stone

Of the total crushed stone produced in 2010, about 68% was limestone and dolomite; 13%, granite; 7%, miscellaneous stone; 6%, traprock; and the remaining 6% was divided, in descending order of tonnage, among sandstone and quartzite, volcanic cinder and scoria, marble, calcareous marl, slate, and shell.
