Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-007357

1. The entire set of data submitted to the EIS by an S/L/T for an inventory year. An S/L/T nonpoint emissions dataset can have only a single value for a given geographic area, process, reporting period, and pollutant. For example, the North Carolina 2008 dataset may contain only one annual total for a given County, process, and pollutant.

2. A table of data stored within the Emissions Modeling Framework (EMF). In addition to the data themselves, datasets have many metadata attributes and can have multiple versions.

3. Data of any kind, including data files, data in databases, data marts and other documents. The sets may follow hierarchical, relational, or a more complex organization.
