deep well injection

A process by which waste fluids are injected deep below the surface of the earth.
1. Injection of hazardous wastes into deep wells underground.
2. Deposition of raw or treated, filtered hazardous waste by pumping it into deep wells, where it is contained in the pores of permeable subsurface rock.
