Disposal site

1. That portion of the “waters of the United States” where specific disposal activities are permitted and consist of a bottom surface area and any overlying volume of water. In the case of wetlands on which surface water is not present, the disposal site consists of the wetland surface area.
2. Region within the smallest perimeter of residual radioactive material (excluding cover materials) following completion of control
3. Broadly, any site where waste materials are collected and are intended to remain for the foreseeable future.
4. Site selected pursuant to section 83 of the Act.
