Dissolved Gas Flotation
Term · Environment · MLC-T-ENV-008230
Natural gas, nitrogen, or other gas is dissolved under pressure and then released at atmospheric pressure in a tank. The released air creates bubbles which adhere to suspended solids, causing the solids to float to the surface where they can be removed by skimming. Removes suspended solids, oil and grease.
