Distemper

A name for several highly contagious viral diseases of animals, especially canine distemper. In dogs, it is caused by the canine distemper virus. It is characterized by a diphasic fever, leukopenia, gastrointestinal and respiratory inflammation and sometimes, neurologic complications.
