1. The areal extent of a resource; the region occupied by a resource.
2. A specific region or amino acid sequence in a protein associated with a particular function or corresponding segment of DNA
3. A discrete portion of a protein with its own function. The combination of domains in a single protein determines its overall function.
(spatial and temporal) The spatial and temporal domain of a model cover the extent and resolution with respect to time and space for which the model has been developed and over which it should be evaluated.
The area in space or time period over which a prediction is made.
