Drywell

1. Drywell means a bored, drilled, or driven shaft or a dug hole or subsurface fluid distribution system, whose depth is greater than its largest surface dimension, which is completed above the water table so that its bottom and sides are typically dry except when receiving fluids well. The term does not include improved sinkholes.

2. Well, other than an improved sinkhole or subsurface fluid distribution system, completed above the water table so that its bottom and sides are typically dry except when receiving fluids.[40 CFR 146.3 (CFR 2018)]
