Emission Control Area

1. "ECA" as defined in 40 CFR 1043.20 as well as "ECA associated area" as defined in 40 CFR 1043.20.

2. Area designated pursuant to Annex VI as an Emission Control Area that:(1) Is in force; and(2) Includes waters of the U.S. territorial sea and/or EEZ.

3. Meaning given in 40 CFR 1043.20.

4. For the purposes of this subpart, means the “ECA” as defined in 40 CFR 1043.20 as well as “ECA associated area” as defined in 40 CFR 1043.20.
