Endangered plant species

1. Referring to an endangered species; any species in danger of extinction throughout all or a significant portion of its range/habitat.
2. Animals, birds, fish, plants, or other living organisms threatened with extinction by anthropogenic (man-caused) or other natural changes in their environment. Requirements for declaring a species endangered are contained in the Endangered Species Act.
3. Those species that are listed as endangered or threatened under section 4 of the Endangered Species Act.
4. Species whose numbers are so small that it is in immediate danger of becoming extinct and needs protection to survive.
