A manufactured sheet, typically rolled on a spool consisting of a matrix of straw, coconut fiber, aspen fiber, jute, or polypropylene (plastic) that is woven, stitched, glued, or bound together, which is placed on disturbed areas to provide temporary erosion control and encourage establishment of vegetation.
