Facility Type is a system-generated classification in ICIS-NPDES, based on the NPDES permit component and Facility Type of Ownership. Facility Type = POTW if the permit has a POTW component and Facility Type of Ownership is one of the following: (1) County Government (2)City Government (3) GOCO (Government Owned/Contractor Operated) (4) Municipal or Water District (5) Mixed Ownership (e.g., Public/Private) (6) School District (7) State Government (8) Tribal Government Facility Type = Federal if the Facility Type of Ownership is a Federal Facility.
