1. Material for allowing proper drainage around the joints and angles of the roof and penetrations through the roof and walls.
2. Material for reinforcing and weatherproofing the joints and angles of the roof and penetrations through the roof.
3. Metal, usually galvanized sheet metal, used to provide protection against infiltration of precipitation into a roof or exterior wall; usually placed around roof penetrations such as chimneys.
