Flue Gas Desulfurization System

1. Any add-on air pollution control system located downstream of the steam generating unit whose purpose or effect is to remove at least 50 percent of the SO2 in the exhaust gas stream.

2. Type of add-on emission control used to remove sulfur dioxide from flue gas, commonly referred to as a “scrubber.”
