Generic waste

1. Any liquid resulting from industrial, commercial, mining or agricultural operations, or from community activities that is discarded or is being accumulated, stored, or physically, chemically, or biologically treated prior to being discarded or recycled.

2. Material generated from industrial, commercial, mining, or agricultural operations or from community activities that is discarded, discharged, or is being accumulated, stored, or physically, chemically, thermally, or biologically treated prior to being discarded or discharged.

3. For purposes of this subpart, items or substances that are discarded with the intent that such items or substances will serve no further useful purpose.

4. Aqueous, non-aqueous, and solid waste, wastewater, and/or used material.

5. Any solid liquid, semisolid, or contained gaseous material that results from the production of a chemical substance identified in paragraph (b) of this section and which is to be disposed.

6. Unwanted materials left over from a manufacturing process; Refuse from places of human or animal habitation.
